Terms of use

Plain-language terms for using ProjectCalc Hub. Using the site means you accept them.

Template notice: these terms are a practical template that the site owner should review — with legal counsel if needed — before launch, including specifying a governing jurisdiction. They are not legal advice.

What this site is for

ProjectCalc Hub provides free calculators and guides for informational and educational use: planning material quantities, waste allowances, and rough budgets for home projects. That is the whole service — there are no accounts, subscriptions, or paid features.

No warranty of accuracy

We work hard to make the calculators correct — the formulas are documented and tested — but the site is provided as is, with no warranty that any result is accurate, complete, or fit for your particular project. Formulas rest on stated assumptions that may not match your materials, site, or local conditions.

Estimates are not professional advice

Nothing on this site is engineering, electrical, or construction advice. A calculator result is a planning estimate, not a design: it does not size structural members, calculate loads, design electrical connections, or replace a licensed engineer, electrician, or contractor where one is required. See the disclaimerfor detail on what these tools do and don't cover.

Your responsibilities

Before you buy materials or start work, you are responsible for verifying:

  • your own measurements;
  • the specifications of the actual products you buy (dimensions, coverage, and yields vary by manufacturer);
  • local building codes, permit requirements, and inspection rules; and
  • anything a professional should review — structural, electrical, or gas work.

Limitation of liability

In plain terms: to the maximum extent the law allows, the site owner is not liable for losses that result from using this site or relying on its estimates — including wasted materials, extra purchases, project delays, property damage, or injury. If you rely on an estimate, you do so at your own risk; the free-of-charge nature of the site is part of that bargain.

Advertising

Ads may appear on the site when the owner enables them. Advertisers do not influence calculator results, and an ad's appearance here is not an endorsement.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as the site evolves. The current version is always at this URL, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the site owner's jurisdiction of residence unless otherwise required by applicable law.
